I’ve been part of J. W. Heavrin since the beginning in 1993. I always wanted to own my own construction company since I was a child, it being a family business made owning it with my wife all the better. I was 25 when I started, and there were a few challenges, being one of the youngest contractors in central Arkansas. Over the years, through hard work and dedication, we built a reputation for professionalism and integrity. These two components are and always will be the most essential for me, personally. When I can step away from work, you’ll usually find me operating a piece of equipment, tinkering with an antique muscle car, or spending time with my grandchildren.
I’ve been with J. W. Heavrin since the beginning in 1993, and it’s been such a joy to watch this company grow into one known for its reliability, quality, and craftsmanship. In 2024, when I took on the role of President and controlling owner, it was especially meaningful to me to see how much support there is today for women in the construction industry. One of my favorite things is driving through Central Arkansas and showing our grandchildren the projects we’ve worked on, a reminder of how our efforts have helped shape not only their future but also the future of our community. When I’m not on the job, you’ll usually find me cooking something fresh from the garden, spending time with the ladies at church, or relaxing at the lake with my grandchildren and a good book.
